Louisa Grey

"I absolutely adore my work as everyday is different."

Meet Louisa Grey — Founder of House of Grey, a London studio pioneering a new era of interior design. Known for her Circular Salutogenic Design approach, Louisa creates calm, health-centred spaces that nurture both people and planet. Quietly radical, deeply restorative.

How do you describe what you do and what do you love the most about it?

I am Founder and Director of a multi faceted design studio House of Grey. Our focus is Circular Salutogenic Design. our Circular Salutogenic Interior design concept was borne and created from a variety of elements, Research, intuition and the drive to future proof the landscape of health care as it currently stands it is not a healing environment.

I absolutely adore my work as everyday is different. We have wonderful clients, and all the projects we invest time on are ones we feel we can bring a huge amount of positive impact to and change people’s everyday lives.

What morning ritual or habit have you developed that sets you up for a better day?

I love starting the day with a yoga session, an aromatherapy bath and then EFT (emotional face tapping). This allows me to able to release anything prior to starting a new day. It also helps with facial bloating and releasing toxins in the face.

What’s your daily uniform?

I am drawn to a monochromatic base and then build from there. I do lean into wearing more trousers and linen T-shirts, with maybe a jacket or oversized shirt so a relaxed smart look.

Where are you local to, and what’s your best neighbourhood recommendation?

Jolene for sure, for the amazing coffee, and wild farmed flour croissants (it is such a guilty but a lovely luxury)

Which modern convenience couldn't you live without, and why?

It would have to be my Sonos system as it fills the house with music, I listen to ocean waves and meditation as I drift off to sleep and find that really supports my self regulation and restorative state.

"I definitely have a work tendency and focus, because I love it, so it's my creative practice."

What's your favourite piece of art, regardless of medium?

It has to be my Kelci Potter gold signet ring, it honestly brings me much joy daily. The shape is so organic, it is made of 100% recycled gold which makes it even more special, that it carries history within.

What are you currently coveting, reading, watching and listening to?

I have started reading again instead of scrolling on my phone and am really enjoying The Only Diet book by Sondra Ray which is more focused on a spiritual detox than actually loosing weight. She writes in a very accessible and relatable way.

"When you emit positive energy, then it attracts positivity into your life."

How do you protect your time and attention from the constant demands of modern life?

I make time for myself which I truly value and is such a luxury.

How do you maintain human connection in an increasingly digital world?

By meeting people in person, as it is much more preferable rather than calling or having a zoom call. You can sense energy through in person meetings.

What makes your life materially better?

Materially better to me means ensuring that all that surrounds me has meaning and is considered to me to be an essential in my life.
