a new supply chain
Rise & Fall was born from a desire to repair a broken retail eco-system. Our retail model prioritises collaboration over convention and responsibility over greed.
We collaborate with our expert manufacturers, partnering with them directly, paying them more (so they can better look after their people) and enabling us to charge our customers less for products that have been cut from the very best materials. We have pioneered a new supply chain to operate more efficiently and equitably that generates much greater shared value for not just ourselves, but also for our manufacturing partners and customers.
TRUE QUALITY, RADICAL VALUE
Our unique supply chain creates much greater value not just for our manufacturing partners but also for our customers. While we are not and never will be “cheap”, we seek to be radically lower (by 50-80%) than our closest competitors for equivalent quality across all our products. We believe that luxury should be defined by the quality of the product, not by the logo or the price tag.
We are on a never-ending quest to improve the quality of our products. To do this, we search out the world’s best manufacturers, use rare and technically-superior materials even though they cost more, and develop beautiful, elegant designs that stand the test of time.
DOING BETTER BY PEOPLE AND PLANET
Unfortunately, much of retail makes grand environmental claims that simply aren’t true. Greenwashing is a major problem as it causes confusion, leads to mistrust and slows the effort to move to a more sustainable future.
At Rise & Fall we’re trying to do better by working hard behind the scenes to ensure that our products create as small an environmental footprint as possible. That’s why we carefully select manufacturers that look after their people and the environment; use natural materials that meet specific certifications; and look after our own people and community.
These are the certifications we live by: most of our cotton is GOTS certified organic; our cashmere items are made in a factory certified by the Good Cashmere Standard, which protects not just the environment but also the goats and those that raise them; our merino is certified by the Responsible Wool Standard; and, finally, all our manufacturers adhere to the Oeko-Tex 100 or Bluesign standard, removing all harsh chemicals from the manufacturing process.
We're also working towards B-Corp certification. More on this to follow...
