our blueprint
Less But Better
Rise & Fall was born from a desire to repair a broken retail ecosystem. We wanted to know why beautifully designed, highest quality products cost so much. The answer it turns out is not just that quality materials cost more, which of course they do, but because the industry was massively overproducing, which meant in turn that prices had to be raised to silly levels in order to cover all of this unwanted product.
Rise & Fall is pioneering a better way. We partner directly with our expert manufacturers and produce small quantities only, topping up stock levels throughout the season to properly match supply and demand.
RADICAL VALUE, TRUE QUALITY
This model allows us not only to reduce waste but also to set prices that are radically lower (up to 80%) than our closest competitors for equivalent quality.
We only use the highest quality materials, whether that’s organic extra long staple cotton in our sheets, French/Belgium linen in our apparel or A-Grade cashmere in our knitwear. Everything is as good as it can be.
B CORP - DOING BETTER BY PEOPLE AND PLANET
Unfortunately, much of retail makes grand environmental claims that simply aren’t true. Greenwashing is a major problem as it causes confusion, leads to mistrust and slows the effort to move to a more sustainable future.
The only way consumers can be sure brands walk the sustainability talk is to see whether their claims are independently verified by third parties. To this end, Rise & Fall is proud to be B Corp certified.
But it’s not just B Corp you can take comfort from: most of our cotton is GOTS certified organic; our cashmere items are made in a factory certified by the Good Cashmere Standard, which protects not just the environment but also the goats and those that raise them; our merino is certified by the Responsible Wool Standard; and, finally, all our manufacturers adhere to the Oeko-Tex or Bluesign standards, removing all harsh chemicals from the manufacturing process.
