Wash white cotton on a weekly basis using a gentle detergent and warm water (around 40°C) to help protect the fibres and reduce shrinkage. Avoid overloading the washing machine so the sheets can rinse properly, and limit bleach as it can weaken cotton over time. When possible, drying in natural sunlight can help maintain brightness.

To get rid of stains it's important to treat them as soon as possible. Rinse the affected area with cold water and add a small amount of gentle detergent to the mark before washing as normal. Note: avoid high heat until the stain has lifted to avoid it setting in permanently.
