At Rise & Fall we only use the finest sustainably sourced grade-A Mongolian cashmere to knit garments that feel buttery-soft against the skin. These luxurious fibres make up less than 10% of the world's cashmere supply.

We believe that to make good products, every aspect of the supply chain must be considered. That’s why our cashmere fibres are only combed from the goats in the spring when they are starting to shed their thick winter coats. It then goes to a mill that is certified by the Good Cashmere Standard, the Sustainable Fibre Alliance and the Responsible Wool Standard - ensuring the grasslands are preserved, farmers are fairly paid and the entire cycle is sustainable.

The softness of cashmere comes down to the fineness and length of the fibres. Mongolian cashmere is particularly prized because the goats develop exceptionally fine underfleece in response to the region’s extreme climate.
