Here is everything you need to complete your bed to keep your guests satisfied:
- Invest in hotel-quality bed linen, including our award-winning fitted sheet
-
Duvets: Our Luxury British Wool Duvet (4.5 and 7.5-togs) is another great option. It's not a warm fibre, it's a responsive one, making it ideal for year-round use. Good Housekeeping have rated it "Best Woollen Duvet" in 2024, 2025 and 2026.
-
Pillows: Provide at least four pillows for a double bed or larger. Avoid feather or down fills because of potential guest allergies. We recommend the hypoallergenic Luxury British Wool Pillows, rated as one of the best natural choices for supported sleep with 100% traceable British wool that gently adapts to the sleeper. Choose Soft, Medium or Firm for personalised comfort and support.
-

Best Duvet Sets For Airbnbs
-
Classic hotel feel: Crisp & Cool Organic Cotton Percale Duvet Set (400 thread count) that feels freshly laundered.
-
Soft luxury feel: Soft & Smooth Cotton Sateen Duvet Set (500-thread count) that boasts a smoother, decadent handfeel.
-
Relaxed boutique feel: Relaxed & Refined Linen Duvet Set. European flax linen brings natural texture to coastal homes, country retreats and rooms where a few creases belong. It may also suit longer stays with less intensive turnover schedules. This set contains a duvet cover and two pillowcases. Add a fitted sheet separately; decide to go with linen or opt for long staple cotton fitted sheets instead.
If your Airbnb is in a hot climate, we recommend having a flat sheet in addition to a duvet. This lighter layer allows your guests to sleep more comfortably on warmer nights.
Meanwhile, if your Airbnb is in a cooler climate, add a top sheet or an extra blanket in the wardrobe for your guests. They will appreciate the effort.
What Colours Should We Have?
White bed linen is the go-to choice for hotels and holiday rentals for good reason. It creates a fresh, inviting feel, works effortlessly with any interior and gives guests that reassuring sense of a clean, freshly made bed. It’s practical, too: keeping every set the same colour makes it easier to rotate and replace individual pieces between stays.

However, at Rise and Fall we have over 15 different colours to choose from so create your own rule book - go for tones that suit your personality, your interiors and where your rental is located. You can always mix and match.
How Many Bedding Sets Does A Holiday Rental?
We'd recommend you start with three complete bedding sets per bed:
-
One on the bed
-
One clean for the next turnover
-
One in reserve when you have to deal with stubborn stains, damage or laundry delays
However, this is from a practical perspective for hosts, not an Airbnb requirement.
When To Replace Your Bedding
Record when you bought each set and when you retired it. That lets you look at its cost across completed stays, rather than judging it only by the price on the day you ordered it.
Wash the bedding after every guest. We have a bedding care guide with useful tips but cleaners should always consider care labels.
For bedding we use at home, we typically replace pillows every 1-2 years, bedsheets and pillowcases every 3-4 years, duvet covers every 3-5 years, duvets can last over 5 years, and mattresses can last around 10 years. However, standards change for Airbnbs and holiday lets. Premium bedding earns its place in guest bedrooms when it stays comfortable and looks presentable. Inspect them regularly instead of assuming they'll be ok.
It's also worth keeping an eye out for permanent stains, pilling, failed fitted sheet elastic, shrinkage, frayed seams, lingering odour after washing and flattened pillows. These are all signs that it's time to replace them.

So, What is The Best Bedding For An Airbnb?
While it depends on the style and type of property you run and the season your guests will be staying the best bedding for Airbnb is long staple cotton percale because it's crisp and cool and gives that hotel finish that guests seem to love. They're also naturally breathable, cool to the touch and suitable for all seasons.
FAQs
Should Airbnb hosts use white sheets?
White sheets make it easier to create a consistent hotel-style bed, match pieces and spot marks between stays. They do show makeup and fake tan, and poor laundering can leave them looking grey. Treat stains and wash bedding according to its care label; do not use bleach unless that label permits it.
What tog duvet is best for an Airbnb?
The right tog depends on the season and the room’s usual temperature. A warm, well-insulated flat may need a lighter duvet than a cool country cottage. Consider whether you need seasonal options, then check the care requirements and where you will store any spare duvet between changes.
What thread count is best?
Thread count tells you how many threads are woven into a given area of fabric. It doesn't, on its own, tell you which sheet will feel better, breathe better, or suit your laundry routine. Our Crisp & Cool percale has a 400 thread count. Our Soft & Smooth sateen has a 500 thread count. The difference you notice in bed comes from the weave and the number: percale feels crisper and cooler; sateen feels smoother and softer. A higher number doesn't automatically make it the better purchase for an Airbnb.
Can I use a feather or down duvet?
Absolutely! Feather and down bedding can provide luxury warmth and comfort, which is perfect for Airbnbs and holiday lets, but hosts should consider guests' allergies and be transparent.
