@lucyalicelook tells us about life during lockdown & dreamy bedrooms

Good friend of Rise & Fall, @lucyalicelook is a London-based blogger with exquisite taste. She is an authority on all things fashion & interiors, as well as being an avid traveller. This year, understandably, she has not been able to get away as much as she may have wanted. We caught up with her to have a chat:

Where did you spend lockdown, with whom, and how would you describe the experience?

I spent my lockdown in London with my boyfriend in our home, luckily we are right next to Richmond park so we could escape there once a day for big walks.
The experience has definitely made us appreciate the little things.

Did you create any morning and evening routines?
Me and my boyfriend both work from home so our days were not too different from normal but I got a good routine going with at home daily workouts, meditation and cooking yummy meals.

Did you have any holiday plans before the pandemic? Where is your dream destination usually?
We had a few trips planned, Venice, LA and France. We were doing a big road trip around America and planned to visit LA, San Diego, Vegas and Palm Springs so gutted we didn’t manage to do that!
Bali is one of my favourite destinations and Maldives is on my wish list.

Tell us about making your bedroom your ‘Staycation hotel room’.
For me it’s so important that the bedroom is clean and minimal, airy and light.
I have white walls and a dove grey feature wall which the bed is against, two rattan scandi tables and a statement ceramic lamp.
I love having candles and a nice armchair in the room to give it that nice hotel room feel.

What advice would you give others when it comes to creating a perfect bedroom?
Keep it light and airy, think light linens, earthy tones and no clutter! Less is more!
I love having a statement chair, white linen curtains and of course the perfect soft bed sheets (never without Rise & Fall)

Who are you going to reach out to and send your postcards to?
My family and those who have been at high risk over lockdown and I haven’t managed to spend enough time with!
