FAQs

What’s the difference between the 400 thread count and 600 thread count sheets?

Despite the different thread counts, it’s down to personal preference. If you’re looking for a cool, crisp sheet, we recommend the 400 thread count percale weave. If you prefer something warm, smooth and butter soft, go for the 600 thread count sateen. Both are made with the finest extra-long staple cotton fibres.

Are my sheets under warranty?

We’re proud of the quality of our sheets, so they come with a 2-year warranty.

How should I care for my sheets?

We recommend washing your sheets every week or two, and they’ll get softer and softer after each wash. Wash on a cool or warm cycle. Tumble dry on medium heat. We recommend removing the sheets from the dryer 5 minutes before the cycle ends and hang drying to finish. It’ll keep them from wrinkling.

To keep them looking their whitest, we recommend The Laundress Whites detergent, available in the Fabric Care section.

Can I iron my sheets?

Certainly - we highly recommend ironing your sheets, it will bring our the best in them. We recommend ironing on a low to medium heat.

Our sheets don’t use the easy-iron chemicals that some other manufacturers rely on, so ironing may not be as easy the first few times. They’ll get better with each wash.

Should I wash my sheets before sleeping in them?

Your sheets will be crisp, soft and ready to go straight out of the packaging. However, we have purposely made them on the bigger side to allow for the industry standard 2% shrink. It’s not a must, but giving your sheets a quick wash before use will ensure best fit.

What certification do your sheets have?

All of our sheets are Oeka-Tex 100 certified. This means they have been tested for harmful substances which are prohibited or regulated by law, and chemicals which are known to be harmful to health. They also test for colour fading and acidity as a precautionary measure, to safeguard health at every stage of production. Our facility in India is also ISO-compliant. You can find out more about Oeka-Tex here.

Our Organic Classic 400 range is also GOTS certified which means our supply chain meets rigorous ecological and social standards. Better for the environment and better for the people working in it. You can find out more about GOTS here.

Can I mix and match within a set?

All items are available to purchase individually, meaning you can mix and match size and fabric. Unfortunately, you cannot mix and match when purchasing one of our duvet sets because they’re pre-bundled.

Where are your sheets made?

Our manufacturing partner is based in India and they are off grid, literally. They run entirely on wind power from their own turbines. The facility contains the most advanced technology on the market and uses highly sophisticated systems that mean we can bring you the perfect sheet.

Why do you only offer white sheets?

By launching with timeless white, we have been able to focus all of our attention on creating the best possible sheets. Adding additional colours and designs is something we’re exploring. Please let us know what you would like to see next by sending an email to info@riseandfall.co
